Berbatov compares Arsenal to New Stoke City
Dimitar Berbatov, a celebrated icon from Manchester United, humorously compared Arsenal to Stoke City about their recent performance. After Arsenal's 2-0 victory over his former team on December 4, where they scored both goals from corner kicks, Berbatov commented during an Amazon Prime Video segment.
Berbatov compared Arsenal to Stoke City
He pointed out that the Premier League permits goalkeepers to face crowding during corner situations. Berbatov noted that Arsenal appears to be strategically focusing on set piece routines to secure their victories, reminiscent of Stoke City's tactics in previous seasons.
"Probably the Premier League is the only league in the world where there are so many players around the goalkeeper who are pushing and shoving…making chaos. Normally it's a foul, but not here. You need to be strong and that's why probably he [Amorim] was watching from the side and he was like 'What is going on with my team.'" Berbatov said.
"So you need to work on that because obviously, as we joke, Arsenal is the new Stoke City – depending on set pieces which can give you the win, like it happened today," he added.

Arsenal has netted seven goals from set-pieces, and an additional two of their 28 league goals have come from penalties. They currently sit in third place, locked on points with Chelsea and trailing Liverpool by seven points.
Dimitar Berbatov has issued a strong warning to Manchester United about the impending storm under Ruben Amorim. He asserts that the Red Devils are struggling in set-piece defence and must urgently address these issues in their training sessions.
"I admit that in the second half, the storm was there for Manchester United. Ruben Amorim said earlier that a storm was going to come for his team and it came tonight. The set-pieces were a big problem for them and Arsenal scored twice from them. Now it's back to the training ground to fix the mistakes." he added.
