Alice Campello, the ex-wife of Alvaro Morata, talked candidly about their breakup in her first interview since they parted ways with the former Chelsea and Real Madrid player. Following the striker's captaincy of Spain to the European Championship crown earlier in 2024, Campello and Morata announced their separation after seven years of marriage and four children.
Actually, according to some Spanish stories, the couple's relationship started to deteriorate right after that momentous night, when they got into a fight on the Berlin field. It is believed that instead of Morata's parents and relatives joining him on the field, Campello had preferred for only her and their kids to do so.
Before the two split up a few weeks later, Campello had jumped to Alvaro Morata's defence during the competition itself in the face of a flurry of criticism from the Spanish media directed at their captain, who was called a "crybaby" for remarks he made about what was considered to be disrespect towards him.
Campello faced complications after the delivery of their fourth child
But in an interview with Forbes Women, Campello, a prosperous businesswoman whose Masqmai brand generated over 8.8 million euros in 2024, talked candidly about her relationship with Morata. They had been together for eight years before getting married, and at 29, Campello had been with Morata for most of her twenties, which is a young age to raise a family. 'He has loved me very much and very well. He pushed me a lot in all my projects and made me see a good part of myself that perhaps I did not see. For me that is love,' she said.
After experiencing 'complications' after the delivery of their fourth child in 2023, Campello was treated by specialists at the University Hospital of Navarra in Madrid. The 29-year-old said that she is not experiencing "any kind of heartbreak," even though the pair speaks every day.
