Pedri vs Sevilla

FC Barcelona leads Sevilla 3-0 in La Liga going into halftime. With a win in Catalonia, La Blaugrana hopes to increase their advantage at the very top of the league when they return to domestic play. After experiencing injury setbacks while on international duty, Lamine Yamal as well as Robert Lewandowski were able to start due to positive injury news.

However, Lewandowski's confident penalty-shot goal on minute 24 gave the home team the lead within the first half hour. After Pedri scored his third league strike of the season, Barcelona was able to accelerate.

After receiving a beautiful pass from Lamine Yamal, Pedri scored an amazing goal to give Barcelona a 2-0 lead over Sevilla. The midfielder then struck the back of the net with a strong shot from barely outside the box. After that incredible goal, Hansi Flick was ecstatic and jumped up and down with glee.

With his first goal, Lewandowski increased his season total to 11 league goals, and shortly before halftime, the Polish ace doubled his total from close range.  With his team playing Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League in the middle of the week, Hansi Flick sought to switch out players after the break.

How have FC Barcelona fared so far under Hansi Flick?

Top-seeded FC Barcelona increased their advantage over bitter rivals Real Madrid, who were tied with the Catalans on points before their match against Sevilla. FC Barcelona's advantage was the fact that they had an additional game left, which they used to their advantage as they defeated Sevilla to go three points clear of Real Madrid in second place.

Despite a number of injury issues, Hansi Flick's team has been outstanding so far this season, scoring 28 goals, the most in La Liga's attacking record. Barcelona's tough week begins on Sunday with their Champions League match against Bayern Munich midweek and their El Clasico trip to Real Madrid the following weekend.
