The much-awaited day has arrived, as Spain prepares to meet England in the Euro 2024 final at Olympiastadion Berlin. England is expecting to finally end their lengthy wait to win a men's major international competition. Spain, on the other hand, has already eliminated several of the continent's heavyweights while winning all six matches on their way to the final, where they hope to become European champions for the fourth time, following 1964, 2008, and 2012, respectively.

While English supporters will be eager to see their country capture its inaugural European Championship trophy, followers of La Roja will be enthusiastic to see their squad lift the crown for the first time in 12 years. Lamine Yamal received the ball on the right side, surged into the penalty area, cut to the left, and sprayed a pass into Williams' path. After taking a moment to compose himself, the Athletic Bilbao winger shot past Jordan Pickford and into the bottom corner.

Nico Williams scores the first goal as Spain leads England 1-0 in the second half of the Euro 2024 final at the Olympiastadion in Berlin. Spain has been incredibly impressive in the competition thus far, defeating France 2-1 in the semi-finals, with Lamine Yamal becoming the youngest scorer in Euros history. On the other side, England's road has been relatively difficult, but they put on an outstanding performance to upset the Netherlands 2-1.

Rodri suffered injury during the first half

Rodri has been Spain's talisman, and not having him in the second half may be a significant blow, giving England an advantage. The first half was cagey, with few opportunities and neither side taking too many risks; Phil Foden came closest, but Spain controlled possession.

England is seeking to end a 58-year wait for international triumph, and a win would also be their first tournament on foreign territory, whilst Spain has been hunting for a big title since 2012, although they will have to do so without Rodri.
