Thirteen minutes into the semi-final encounter against France, Lamine Yamal smashed the record with a breathtaking looping shot into the top corner to tie the score at one with Didier Deschamps' team having taken the lead earlier in the half.

Just by on the pitch, Lamine Yamal had broken yet another record before he scored in the semi-finals. He broke the record set by the legendary Pele in 1958 at the World Cup in Sweden, becoming the youngest player ever to participate in a major tournament semi-final, just shy of turning 17 years old. The 17-year-old Spanish star Lamine Yamal has stunned the football world with his amazing exploits at Euro 2024.
