It's no secret that Lionel Messi and Neymar, the former colleagues at FC Barcelona, are close friends. Together with Luis Suarez, the two incredible attackers formed one of the most formidable attacking trios in history during their four years of playing together at Barcelona.

They had a close relationship at Camp Nou that persisted even after Neymar agreed to a record-breaking £198 million move to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017. Lionel Messi, whose contract with FC Barcelona expired in 2021, later joined him at the Ligue 1 club.

Earlier today, Neymar Jr. shared a video on his Instagram story where he and Lionel Messi can be seen singing along. It was a wholesome video that he shared on his social media handle.

“He went to heaven with the Argentina team” : Neymar on Lionel Messi

Neymar, the Brazilian player, has said that during their final few months in Paris Saint-Germain, he and Lionel Messi went through hell. The PSG supporters heckled Messi for their loss in the UEFA Champions League 2022/23.

Messi was the best player in the competition and the winner of the FIFA World Cup 2022 when he returned to Paris. The club's star-studded attack line failed to produce results, as German rival Bayern Munich defeated them 3-0 over the course of two legs to eliminate the team. Neymar disclosed the inside information to Brazilian publication Globo, claiming that he and Messi had not been content in Paris for the past few months.

He said, “I was very happy for the year he (Messi) had, but at the same time very sad, because he lived both sides of the coin, he went to heaven with the Argentina team, won everything in recent years, and with Paris he lived hell. We lived through hell, both he and I. We get upset, because we're not there for nothing, we're there to do our best, be champions, try to make history, that's why we started playing together again, we came together there so we could make history. Unfortunately, we didn't make it.”
