Lionel Messi is arguably the greatest ever footballer in the history of the game. The Argentine superstar in his prolonged career has some stellar moments that have defined game-changing for the club and the nation as well. Presently he plays for Inter Miami in Major League Soccer (MLS) in the USA. The footballer left Europe after a year of his World Cup win in Qatar in 2022. The Argentina captain is currently training with the national team for the upcoming Copa America 2024. Ahead of the tournament, he dropped a comment over the 2026 World Cup which is set to place in Mexico, Canada and the USA.
Messi was asked about possibly playing in the next World Cup for the country, as there were speculations that he has already played his last World Cup in 2022. He will be turning 38 till the next marquee event of FIFA and for a footballer of his age, it might be difficult to compete against the best teams. But the quality he possesses till now has been mesmerising to watch for the fans.
