Bournemouth and Liverpool are playing today at Anfield. With the exception of the unexpected defeat to Nottingham Forest, Liverpool's season has started off perfectly under new manager Arne Slot. Conversely, Bournemouth is searching for a win. In front of the enthusiastic Anfield crowd, they will take on the music, and if they are successful, they could discover some fresh energy.

After suffering a disappointing 1-0 loss to Chelsea at home the previous weekend, Bournemouth will be visiting Anfield. However, at the end of August, they pulled off an incredible comeback to win 3-2 at Everton. With Forest's triumph, Andoni Iraola's team will be hoping for another exciting outcome on Merseyside.

In the 26th minute, Colombian winger Luis Diaz scored the first goal of the game after winning a long ball, carrying it around the goalkeeper, and putting it in the net. As the replays were coming to an end, Liverpool had their second great chance of the game when Trent Alexander-Arnold's dash through the midfield created a simple ball for Diaz to score his second.

Darwin Nunez finished off his first start in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon against Bournemouth, having spending the majority of Liverpool's season on the bench. Despite Liverpool's poor start, Luis Diaz took full advantage of two mistakes committed by Bournemouth to give the Reds a two-goal lead. However, Darwin Nunez scored a fantastic goal to make it 3-0 just before halftime after making a run down the right side of the pitch.

Liverpool are leading by 3-0 by halftime

Nunez now has four goals in his career versus Bournemouth, adding to his two goals scored last season while playing away from home and his game-winning goal at Anfield during the team's victorious Carabao Cup run. Despite Cody Gakpo's occasional impressive play this season, Diaz's outstanding play will undoubtedly cause Slot a selection dilemma, especially with Federico Chiesa holding out for a spot.
