In a recent TNT Sports social media video, Manchester United legend Paul Scholes shared his insights on which players he would retain and which he would consider selling from the current squad.
He expressed confidence in goalkeeper Andre Onana, suggesting that there is potential for him to develop further within the team. On the other hand, he noted that while summer signing Matthijs de Ligt has shown improvement, he would recommend parting ways with the defender to explore other options. Similarly, Lisandro Martinez was mentioned as a player to sell, citing similar reasons.

Luke Shaw and Mason Mount were marked for departure due to their persistent lack of fitness, even though Scholes praised their potential.
Next on the list was Casemiro. Scholes acknowledged his talent but firmly stated that it was time to move him on. However, Scholes drew the line when it came to Kobbie Mainoo. He made it clear that he would retain the midfielder, branding him one of the club's most promising talents.
Scholes chose to retain Alejandro Garnacho. He then made decisions regarding the final three players on the list: Antony, Joshua Zirkzee, and Marcus Rashford indicating a preference to sell each of them.
