Tyrell Malacia, a defender for Manchester United, has had a difficult time recovering from his injuries, but his teammates, particularly Casemiro, have been there for him no matter what. This was made clear when the Brazilian midfielder recently disclosed that he gave the Dutch fullback his FA Cup-winning medal.

Kobbie Mainoo's game-winning goal gave the Red Devils a 2-1 victory against their arch-rivals Manchester City. With this victory, the team's record for the most FA Cup victories was further solidified, reaching 13. Malacia, who has missed 70 games because of a knee ailment that has kept him out for the whole 2023–24 season, was hesitant to join his teammates in the joyous procession up the Wembley steps.

Nevertheless, considering his absence over the season, Tyrell Malacia was hesitant to participate in the celebrations. In order to make the Dutch full-back feel a part of the team's accomplishment, Casemiro pushed him to attend the trophy presentation and even handed him the FA Cup medal.

According to Malacia, Casemiro even gave him his medal and encouraged him to participate in the FA Cup celebrations last month. "He hadn't played a single game that season, and he didn't want to climb the steps. There was no medal for him, so I gave him mine." "We need him, he's part of the team. We love him and he needs love."

Manchester United getting back on track

Malacia, who made his first team comeback against Bodo/Glimt after missing more than 17 months, was hesitant to participate in the excessive post-match celebrations, but Casemiro urged him to do so. The seasoned player made sure the Dutch defender understood his role on the team. To get back to where he was in 2022, Malacia will need to improve his fitness as the season goes on.

The Red Devils entered the game as overwhelming underdogs after a poor league season and rumours that Erik ten Hag would be fired regardless of the final result. Under new manager Ruben Amorim Manchester United will aim for a win and give the manager his first Premier League win.
