Spanish giants Real Madrid are heading towards another semi-final in the UEFA Champions League as they defeated defending champions Manchester City on penalties in the second leg at Manchester City's home Etihad Stadium. Real Madrid has stopped Manchester City's dream of winning two back-to-back trebles.

In the first leg at Santiago Bernabeu scores were tied as both the teams scored 3-3. However, heading to the second leg again the scores were tied 1-1 by the end of extra time which resulted in a penalty shootout. However, after the match, Manchester City midfielder Rodri expressed his disappointment after losing in the quarter-final against Real Madrid.

According to Sportskeeda Rodri stated, "I saw only one team today, to be honest. They defended and they knew how to suffer and we know how tough Real Madrid is. But, in my opinion, we should go through, in terms of chances and everything. It’s the trickiness of the competition. They know how to play, congratulations to them," Rodri said after the game, via Hayters.com.
