Watch: Jude Bellingham receives Red Card for arguing with referee in a heated clash against Osasuna

Spanish league La Liga resumed this weekend with an important matchup as Osasuna faced off against Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid at the Estadio el Sadar on Saturday.

Although Osasuna sat in ninth place in the Laliga standings and had been striving to improve their performance this season, Real Madrid was holding a narrow lead at the top of the league table, setting the stage for a competitive encounter.

Real Madrid boasted an exceptional squad that, despite some recent stumbles, remained formidable. While Osasuna had the potential to cause an upset, their track record in this fixture was historically weak.

Bellingham's red card turned the tables 

In the 15th minute, Real Madrid took the lead. Valverde received a clever flick around the corner from Bellingham, which set him up perfectly in the right channel. He then executed a precise low cross into the area. Mbappe, showing great timing and anticipation, made a well-timed run into the box and finished it home, finding the top right corner from six yards out.

In the 39th minute, things turned dramatically. The Real Madrid players had been expressing their concerns to the referee throughout the match, and Jude Bellingham took the opportunity to speak up after an Osasuna free-kick resulted in a goal-kick. After a moment of discussion, the referee decided to issue a straight red card for dissent and Bellingham was given his marching orders.

Real Madrid managed to maintain their lead during the first half. However, the momentum shifted in the second half. In the 58th minute, Osasuna equalized after a mistimed sliding tackle from Camavinga resulted in a foul within Madrid's penalty area, leading to a penalty kick. Budimir stepped up to take the shot, and with his gaze fixed on Courtois, he confidently placed his left-footed penalty into the bottom left corner as the Madrid goalkeeper dove in the opposite direction. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
