Spanish football club giants Real Madrid secured a victory against Celta Vigo in extra time to move into the next round of the Copa Del Rey tournament.

Real Madrid triumphed over Celta Vigo 5-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu in a Copa del Rey match that went to extra time. The Spanish giants are determined to enhance their performance against an opponent they were expected to conquer with ease.

Kylian Mbappe led the charges for the Galacticos opening the scoring in the 37th minute with a brilliant run and finish. Following halftime, Vinicius Jr increased the hosts' advantage in the 48th minute, assisted by Brahim Diaz.

Celta fought back in the 83rd minute, with Jonathan Bamba finding the net after receiving a well-placed pass from Pablo Duran. The visitors demonstrated resilience, managing to equalize in the first minute of added time when former Barcelona defender Marcus Alonso converted a penalty, awarded for a foul by Raul Asencio in the box.

In the 108th minute, Real Madrid took the lead once again, thanks to a goal from Endrick. Federico Valverde extended the advantage with a stunning strike in the 112th minute, bringing the score to 4-2. To cap off the impressive performance, Endrick finished the fixture with an audacious backheel goal in the 119th minute.

Valverde surpass Galacticos legend 

Federico Valverde dominated the pitch during his 41 minutes of play, scoring a crucial goal that propelled his team to victory against Celta Vigo. He excelled in his performance, winning four out of five duels. With this impressive achievement, the Uruguayan midfielder left his mark by surpassing Galacticos legend Toni Kroos, netting his 29th goal compared to Kroos's tally of 28.
