In the final of the UEFA Euro 2024, Spain defeated England 2-1 in the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany. In the 86th minute, Mikel Oyarzabal struck the game-winning goal to help Spain win their 4th and record-breaking European trophy and embark on an undefeated streak.

In the 47th minute, Nico Williams opened the score with an assist from 17-year-old Lamine Yamal. England's fans were given hope when super replacement Cole Palmer produced a breathtaking long-range goal, but Oyarzabal's late goal ended their celebration. English teenager Jude Bellingham was spotted in the dugout after the game, kicking a cooler box out of fury before he left the field.

Rodri was named Player of the Tournament, and Yamal was named Young Player of the Tournament. Mike Maignan of France won the Golden Glove after recording four perfect games. If neither Dani Olmo nor Harry Kane scores a goal in the championship game, six players will receive the Golden Boot for Euro 2024. Six players currently hold the top scoring spot: Harry Kane of England; Dani Olmo of Spain; Cody Gakpo of the Netherlands; Jamal Musiala of Germany; Ivan Schranz of Slovakia; and Georges Mikautadze of Georgia.

“This is going to hurt for a long time” : England captain Harry Kane

England skipper Harry Kane’s trophy curse continued as his side were beaten by Spain today in the UEFA Euro 2024 final. The Bayern Munich superstar spoke to the media after the game and gave a fair reflection about the game and his feelings after losing such a close final.

The former Tottenham Hotspur striker said, "Losing in a final is as tough as it gets. We done really well to get back into the game, to get to 1-1. We could have used that momentum to push on. We couldn't quite keep the ball and we got punished for it, I don't know what to say. This is going to hurt for a long time."
