Jose Sa into stands

At halftime of Wolves' match against Bournemouth, goalie Jose Sa climbed into the Molineux home crowd to argue with a supporter. Milos Kerkez's goal and a couple of penalties through Justin Kluivert put the home team behind 3-1 at halftime. Gary O'Neil's team had equalized by Jorgen Strand Larsen, but Bournemouth had complete control of the game when Sa handed away the second penalty kick.

Evanilson, a standout for the Cherries, charged in to nick the ball away after the keeper used a strong touch to handle a backpass. During a VAR review, referee Peter Bankes awarded a penalty when Sa kicked the striker on the inside of the ankle.

As Bankes gave the halftime whistle, boos erupted strongly at Molineux, but they seemed to be directed at the refereeing crew instead of Gary O'Neil's club. However, Sa got into a fight with a fan on the South Bank, an area that is only supposed to hold Wolves supporters, as the players headed off the field.

As stewards tried to pull Sa from the stadium, he leaped into the crowd and was observed yelling and making arm gestures. They eventually managed to get him to return to the field, however according to BBC Sport, a number of individuals were ejected from the stadium with force.

“The referee overturned the original decision” : Premier League statement

The Premier League issued a statement some time later on as they said, "The referee’s call of no penalty to Bournemouth for a challenge by Sa on Evanilson was checked by VAR, who deemed there was sufficient contact on Evanilson’s left heel and recommended an on-field review. The referee overturned the original decision and awarded a penalty."

After a long ball forward, Toti Gomes jumped in to knock down Evanilson, giving Bournemouth the lead just three minutes into the game. Kluivert took the initiative to score the subsequent penalty kick. But two minutes later, Strand Larsen beat his opponent to head a beautiful header into the bottom corner of Jean-Ricner Bellegarde's cross, putting the home team back on equal terms. However, they suffered defeat after they conceded three more goals on the night but are still outside the relegation zone for now.
