Tosin Adarabioyo, a defender, scored twice from outside the box as Chelsea defeated League Two underdogs Morecambe at Stamford Bridge to easily advance to the FA Cup's fourth round. In the first half, Morecambe goalkeeper Harry Burgoyne made an impression by saving Christopher Nkunku's early penalty after visiting captain Yann Songo'o was given a handball.

After 39 minutes, however, Adarabioyo's drive from the edge of the box bounced viciously off midfielder Callum Jones into the net, allowing Chelsea to break the impasse. After Burgoyne had denied Renato Veiga, Nkunku scored the Blues' second goal on the rebound immediately following the restart. Adarabioyo, who had only scored once for Chelsea before Saturday, scored his second goal and the team's third in the 70th minute with a fantastic curling attempt from 25 yards out into the top corner.

And as Morecambe waned, Chelsea won handily because of two more late goals from Joao Felix, the first a magnificent curling drive from a tight angle and the second a side-footed finish from the area's edge. As was to be expected, Enzo Maresca's team controlled the ball, but Morecambe got the game's opening shot. Ben Tollitt, a winger, advanced well down Chelsea's left before shooting at Filip Jorgensen, who deflected the effort before grabbing the ball.

The France international headed over from a Reece James corner, and Chelsea's defence tandem of Adarabioyo and Axel Disasi came close. Adarabioyo got his head to a James cross near-post before Tyrique struck the bar. With a magnificent ball blasted over the six-yard box that no one could hit, George displayed his talent.

With fewer than 20 minutes remaining, Felix made it four by grabbing the ball from George on the box's edge and launching a low shot into the lower left corner. Shortly after, the Portugal player scored his second goal, curling an unstoppable shot from the left side of the visitors' box into the top corner. Maresca's team will be aiming for the trophy this season, and this win puts Chelsea in the running for the next round.
