English Premier League was back with an important fixture between Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur at Spurs Stadium.
Leicester City headed into the match sitting in 17th place, fighting for their survival in the English top flight. Tottenham Hotspur were no different as they were placed at the 15th spot after a disastrous season so far
Tottenham Hotspur initially took the lead in the first half as their returning striker Richarlison scored in the 33rd minute. City drew level right at the start of the second half and later hit the winner in the 50th minute. Tottenham Hotspur tried to make their way back into the match, but Leicester City maintained solid defence to keep the opponents at bay. Leicester City won the fixture 2-1.
Jamie Vardy roasted Tottenham Hotspur Fans
Leicester City's striker Jamie Vardy humorously taunted Tottenham fans after scoring the equalizer for Leicester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The English striker has a knack for troubling Spurs, and he did just that by capitalizing on an error from the Tottenham goalkeeper just two minutes into the second half.
Vardy's latest goal against the North London side now brings his league tally against them to nine, and this marks his second goal of the season.
Vardy further provoked the home crowd with his celebration, taunting them about their empty trophy cabinet. He signalled to the fans that Leicester boasts one Premier League title while Spurs remain without any. With conviction, he pointed to the Premier League badge on his jersey and held up one finger, then gestured to the crowd, showing them a zero. His mocking ignited the home fans, provoking a furious reaction from the home supporters in response to the insult.
