It was previously made clear that the club legend would not participate in Leicester's final match of the season, as the club aimed to conclude his tenure on home ground at the King Power Stadium. The veteran striker scored his trademark 200th goal on his 500th appearance in vintage Jamie Vardy fashion. He expertly ran behind the Ipswich defence and thundered the ball into the far corner.

Following the conclusion of the match, Vardy had a brief interaction with the media, where he talked about his journey with the Foxes over the years.
"I missed a couple before that but once JJ [James Justin] put me through there I was never going to miss it. Obviously getting the dogs' abuse from the away fans up there, there was only one place I was going. It's been amazing, it's been a rollercoaster, it really has," Vardy said.
"But the good thing is there's been way, way, way more highs [than lows] and I thank everyone. I never thought we'd be in the Champions League, we'd win the league, and we've all been there for a reason," he added.
Vardy had been a key contributor in Leicester City's noteworthy performances, including winning the Premier League and leading the team into the Champions League. He is regarded as an important figure in the club's history, particularly considering his late-career rise to prominence.
As per reports, Jamie Vardy had made up his mind to continue playing at the top level. Hence, he is in search of another English top-flight suitor in the upcoming transfer window. He may not feature in the starting eleven of his new club, but can be introduced as a substitute in light of the threat he still carries with his speed and finishing abilities.
