Arsenal secured a scintillating victory against Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu, washing their dreams of any 'comeback'. The reigning UCL champions were eliminated from the competition by Arsenal, with the final aggregate score being 1-5.

The Gunners gave their fans lots to cheer for as they defeated Real Madrid 1-2 in their backyard. Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Vinicius Junior were amongst the scorers in the second leg of the quarter-finals.

Gabriel Magalhães' heartfelt reaction to the Gunners victory 

Arsenal arrived at Santiago Bernabeu with a 3-0 lead. Before the encounter, much has been discussed about teams faltering with substantial leads at the Bernabeu, but that was not the case for Arteta's squad. Arsenal adhered to their tactical approach of swift ball transitions, which produced astonishing results.

Arsenal have had an injury-laden season. One of Arsenal's Premier defenders, Gabriel Magalhães, who is out with an injury of his own, was spotted celebrating Arsenal's winning goal at Santiago Bernabeu with other members of the management. Gabriel Magalhães raised his hands in joy and hugged others in his presence as Arsenal defeated Real Madrid.

Real Madrid started the match on a high as they maintained more possession. They created more chances but couldn't go past Arsenal's formidable defence. Arsenal broke the deadlock in the 65th minute when Bukayo Saka scored from the penalty spot. Four minutes later, Vinicius Junior drew levels, but his efforts proved too little when Gabriel Martinelli put the final nails in the coffin with a goal in the 93rd minute.

Arsenal appear determined to lay their hands on the European crown this season. They will take on Paris Saint Germain in the semi-finals over two legs.
