The Gunners appeared unfazed when they stepped inside the Lion's Den called Santiago Bernabeu for the second leg of the UCL quarter-finals. Arsenal came into the contest with a formidable 3-0 lead. A lot was said about how teams bottle big leads at Santiago Bernabeu but that wasn't the case this time. Arteta's men stuck to their game style of quick ball counters, and it yielded results in ways unimaginable.

Gabriel Martinelli silenced Real Madrid fans in their home ground as he netted the final goal of the entire fixture in three minutes of stoppage time. Martinelli made a brilliant solo run, foxed Galacticos' defenders and effortlessly placed the ball at the back of the net past Thibault Courtois.

Although Real Madrid maintained 65% possession and created more chances, Arsenal's compact defence appeared impenetrable. Vinicius Junior gave the Galacticos a glimmer of hope when he netted the equaliser just 4 minutes after Bukayo Saka scored from the spot in the 65th minute. However, Arsenal dominated the midfield and perfectly managed the tempo of the game as per the situation.

The Gunners have failed to bag any domestic silverware this season, however, this could all be forgotten should they win their next two fixtures to bag their maiden Ucl crown. Arsenal is set to take on Ligue One winners Paris Saint Germain in the semi-finals over two legs.
