Neil Maupay got into a fight with Everton supporters on Saturday night as the players were seen boarding a train to return from London. When the Toffees lost 4-0 against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, Maupay was not utilised as a replacement, which infuriated the visiting fans.

And their resentment persisted long after the last whistle, which led to unpleasant confrontations at Euston Station. French forward Neil Maupay seemed to bear the brunt of the ire in a social media video. Furthermore, the 28-year-old would not go by silently, turning around and yelling back to intensify the unpleasant moments.

Later at night, the French attacker posted a tweet on X to reveal the behaviour of the fan at the station. He wrote, "Imagine another job where it’s normalised to get abuse like this. Hanging around at a train station to scream at men who are trying their best…"

Mason Holgate received comparable treatment in the poisonous atmosphere, so he was not the only superstar targeted. Similar to Maupay, the centre back was benched at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium while the home team ran wild.

Security guards flanked the players, but the mood remained caustic despite the station authorities' presence. After two games, Everton is at the bottom of the English Premier League after failing to score and giving up seven goals.

The video was extensively circulated, as club supporters @thebullensview said on X that, "After a video of Everton fans went viral this evening abusing the playing squad, we wanted to point out this was just a minority of supporters. Whilst we do not speak for everyone, we’d like to think Everton fans do not condone this sort of behaviour."

This is probably only the beginning of the club's tensions this week. Tuesday's Carabao Cup match between Everton and Doncaster will take place at Goodison Park, and the following weekend, the team will take on Bournemouth in the Premier League.
