Erling Haaland has showcased his long-term commitment to Manchester City by signing a remarkable new contract that will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2034. 

Previously set to expire in June 2027, Haaland has now agreed to an enhanced nine-and-a-half-year contract that spans a total of 10 seasons.

When the deal concludes, the Norwegian international will be approaching his 34th birthday, with any previous release clauses from his last contract now eliminated.

Haaland's incredible records for Man City

Despite ongoing speculation regarding his potential transfer to Real Madrid, the 24-year-old Haaland is reportedly very content in Manchester, proudly representing the Premier League champions.

Since his €60 million move from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, the prolific forward has netted an impressive 111 goals in 126 appearances, while also securing two English top-flight titles, an FA Cup, the Champions League, and a Super Cup.

Haaland expressed his excitement at signing the new deal, asserting that he is incredibly proud to secure his long-term future with City. 

"I am super proud and happy, and I am looking forward to staying here for a long time. In the end, speaking with the people I spoke with, the hunger and the support that I have been getting for the last couple of years from the board, from the bosses, and from Pep, it was an easy decision. I am delighted." Haaland said.

"Now I can fully focus on getting better because I am going to stay here for such a long time," he added.
