Due to injury, Eduardo Camavinga, a midfielder for Real Madrid, will not play in Wednesday's Super Cup match against Atalanta. After colliding with teammate Aurelien Tchouameni, the France international was heard screaming on the ground. On Tuesday, he was forced to leave training limping due to what seemed to be a knee injury.

While Camavinga was able to leave the pitch on his own, Carlo Ancelotti and his team were concerned about his health, and the 21-year-old was promptly transported for medical attention. Full in-depth scans have not yet been conducted, however, as previously disclosed by Jose Luis Sanchez, club doctors are already certain that Camavinga has not sustained a catastrophic injury.

Although Camavinga was reportedly supposed to start the match on Wednesday, Ancelotti is reportedly changing his game plan since he won't take any chances with the 21-year-old. Jude Bellingham and Federico Valverde are anticipated to start, while Tchouameni or Luka Modric is anticipated to follow. The arrival of Kylian Mbappe as a forward has Madrid supporters excited, but prior rumours have indicated Ancelotti will stick with the players that drove the team to Champions League victory the previous year.

Eduardo Camavinga's injury is devastating for Real Madrid

Losing Camavinga is a devastating blow for Carlo Ancelotti, but he will be relieved to learn that the Frenchman is not seriously injured. It also makes his side decision significantly easier for Wednesday, since Tchouameni, Luka Modric, Federico Valverde, or Jude Bellingham are practically set to start in midfield for Real Madrid. Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo are set to start in attack, but it is unclear how Ancelotti will put together his lineup in response to Camavinga's injury.

The UEFA Super Cup match will take place at National Stadium Warsaw, Warsaw in which UEFA Champions League winner Real Madrid and UEFA Europa Cup winner Atalanta will face each other to other another trophy in their cabinet.
