The center defender and right winger were both substituted out in the first half, adding to Los Blancos' mounting injury problems. Rodrygo and Militao, two important players, were taken out of the game early during their La Liga match against Osasuna. Rodrygo was the first to go down, walking off the field while clutching his tightly bandaged thigh.

Five minutes later, Eder Militao came up behind him. Before being carried off, the center-back screamed in agony as if he had jarred his right knee. In the season's first game last year, the Brazilian ripped his left ACL.

Rodrygo managed to run the problem off at first, but soon before the 20-minute mark, he went to ground, this time in much more obvious pain. After receiving treatment from the home team's medical staff, it soon became evident that the 23-year-old did not feel well enough to continue, and Brahim Díaz took his place. Rodrygo, who recently returned from a previous stint on the sidelines, left the field in a dejected state, crying as he made his way towards the Real Madrid dugout.

Eder Militao stretchered off against Osasuna

Eder Militao and Antonio Rudiger began the match against Osasuna in La Liga in central defense. But the Brazilian defender's time was limited to thirty minutes.Militao had a knee injury that appeared to be serious shortly prior to the half-hour mark. The defender was not reacting well either, as evidenced by his attempts to contain his tears. Around the thirty-minute mark, he was removed on a stretcher.

Real Madrid needed to bounce back from previous failures, such as a 4-0 defeat to Barcelona during El Clásico as well as another 3-1 Champions League loss to AC Milan, therefore the game at Santiago Bernabéu seemed vital. The defending Spanish as well as European champions have had a difficult time under head coach Carlo Ancelotti, which makes Sunday's La Liga matchup versus Osasuna even more important.
