Eder Militao, the defender for Real Madrid, is racing against the clock in order to get in better shape and rejoin the starting lineup. In the season's first game against Athletic Bilbao, Militao tore his ACL and has been ruled out since then.

Club insiders told Managing Madrid that coach Carlo Ancelotti hopes to start Militao in the starting eleven for the pivotal UEFA Champions League quarter final second leg versus Manchester City on April 17. Ancelotti is hesitant to send the Brazilian centre-back too soon for the first game next week, though.

After a long break, Militao needs more time to rebuild his confidence and strengthen his conditioning. Given that midfielders Tchouameni and Camavinga could be suspended for the first match, Ancelotti recognises the significance of Militao's return. Militao may participate in the La Liga match versus Mallorca on April 13th, providing crucial time on the field just four days prior to the City match, based on his strong training sessions.

Teams set to bid for superstar Real Madrid winger next summer

This season, Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior has become the talk of the town as he continues to spearhead the fight against racism. He broke down in tears at a news conference last week, revealing exactly how big of an impact it was having on him. There have been rumours that his persecution may compel him to quit playing football in Spain.

Vinicius insisted that he didn't have any plans to travel anyplace because, in his opinion, doing so would allow racists to "win." He might have had options if he was willing to leave Real Madrid, since Kylian Mbappe's arrival has also caused some positional confusion at the team. According to El Debate (via Sport), Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, and Liverpool are all prepared to offer Vinicius €200 million.

Whatever happens, the Brazilian intends to stay at Real Madrid, the team he loves, and he has a contract there till 20247. It is intended for the contract to be medium-term extended until 2029, with an additional pay increase.
