Dani Olmo's goal against Mallorca
FC Barcelona's biggest signing of the season, Dani Olmo, navigated the club's victory against Mallorca in the important La Laliga fixture. The Catalans defeated Mallorca 1-0 to consolidate their lead at the top of the La Liga standings.
Dani Olmo struck at a time when Barcelona's stand-in striker, Ferran Torres, missed a fair amount of chances in the first half. The win helped Barcelona's pursuit of claiming the La Laliga crown this season.
The hosts started the game on a high as they dominated the majority of ball possession and shots. By the end of the first half, Barcelona's incisive play resulted in 65% possession and 24 shots but no goals. Mallorca's defence appeared impenetrable with their goalkeeper Leo Roman pulling off sensational saves.
The deadlock was finally broken in the second half. Just seconds into the second half, Dani Olmo converted a chance from inside Mallorca's box office with an inch-perfect pass from Gavi. This marked Dani Olmo's 10th goal of the season for the Catalans across club competitions. He has also assisted three times this season.

"Everyone did a great job and it's really positive to see the players feeling part of the team. We had a lot of chances to score more goals but I'm happy with the performance." Flick said.
"It's no surprise to see trophies decided between two great teams. I have a lot of respect for them and Ancelotti, who is one of the best in the world," added Flick.
Barcelona will next take on Real Madrid in the finals of the Copa del Rey on April 26th. If they manage to win the third consecutive El Clásico this season, they will be a step closer to their target of a treble this season.
