FC Barcelona is about to finalize their acquisition of former La Masia sensation Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig, following weeks of rumors. The midfielder has agreed to a six-year deal with FC Barcelona through 2030 in addition to the €55 million arrangement between the clubs, plus an additional €7 million in add-ons.

Olmo flew to Catalonia on the evening of Tuesday and completed his medical exams yesterday, passing them with ease. He will soon receive an official announcement about his transfer. Updates regarding Dani Olmo's official presentation ceremony as a new Barcelona player have now been provided by Gerard Romero. The journalist claims that today the Blaugrana will introduce the Spaniard to the press as a new signing.

He is going to sign the papers with Joan Laporta, the president of Barcelona, at the presentation, which begins at 11 a.m. at Ciutat Esportiva. After that, Olmo will respond to inquiries from the media at a press conference. Earlier today he was captured getting out of his car at the FC Barcelona headquarters. For the 26-year-old offensive midfielder, who moved to Dinamo Zagreb from Barcelona when he was younger and is now returning to his childhood team ten years later, it will be a unique moment.

The unveiling ceremony may also provide confirmation on Olmo's potential shirt number at Barcelona. Rumor has it that the UEFA Euro 2024 winner will wear the No. 20 jersey that was left empty following the departure of previous captain Sergi Roberto.
