Dani Carvajal, who has a year of contract left with Real Madrid, scored the first goal in the UEFA Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund and helped the team to win the game 2-0 at Wembley. The veteran right-back also won the Player of the Match in the final for his amazing display at the marquee European tournament. The Spanish full-back throughout the tournament has been excellent at the backline up against some of the toughest wingers of this generation.
After their win, more than thousands of fans aligned in the streets of the Capital City to celebrate their UEFA Champions League title win. An open-top bus parade snaked through Madrid, making many stops at Puerta del Sol before continuing to the Cibeles Fountain and then finally to their home stadium Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
The 32-year-old footballer's father who is an inspector in National Police, was leading the police escort on horseback as his son partied above. Despite fans calling for Carvajal's dad to join in the party he remains focused on his day job on the ground. The right-back will be next in action in the UEFA Euro 2024 for Spain as he has been named in the squad for the upcoming marquee tournament in Germany.

Carvajal etches his name in the history books
This was the defenders' 6th UCL title with the club along with Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, and Nacho Fernandez which takes them level with legendary Real Madrid forward Paco Gento, who also won six when it was known as the European Cup. He won all six with Los Blancos (1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1906 and 1966), now the defender along with his other teammate won Modric, Nacho and Carvajal (2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022 and 2024).
The Los Blancos won their 15th UCL last weekend and once again proved why they are the 'Kings of Europe' against the odds they qualified for the final and won it and are the most successful team in the league as no one is halfway near to the Spanish Giants while winning a trophy in the European competition.
