Real Madrid have already become the champions of La Liga with four matches to spare. The Los Blancos after beating Cadiz in their last game by 3-0 won their 36th title. However the job is still unfinished for Carlo Ancelotti's side as they are presently in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League. The Spanish Giants will be up against Bayern Munich on Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabeu. In the reverse fixture in Munich the game ended in a 2-2 draw with all to play in the 2nd leg.
Ancelotti's side against the odds defeated Manchester City and once again proved that why they are the most successful side in the competition. They are the favourites to qualify for the final and win their 15th UCL trophy. But ahead of the game veteran right back Dani Carvajal has revealed a shocking fact about some of the players of the club.
The 32-year-old defender has commented about Luka Modric, Lucas Vazquez, Toni Kroos, Nacho Fernández, who all are five time champions with the club might be seen in the whites for the one last time at the Bernabeu stadium on Wednesday, as Carvajal hopes at least one of them will renew their contract set to expire on June 30.
Is Wednesday UCL match last for some Madrid players?
The Spanish full back hopes that if it is their last UCL game at the home stadium, they can celebrate with a ticket to the final that is scheduled to take place in Wembley. Carvajal also discussed about what he has achieved with the above mentioned names in the last decade or so. In last 10 years the club has won 5 UCL trophies which an amazing achievement for the club.
He also commented on the head coach's importance in Los Blancos’ successful campaign so far, the full-back said, "I think that both the coach and his staff this year are the owners of the successes. We have counteracted for departures like Karim [Benzema], and Marco [Asensio] with very good arrivals, then long-term injuries and look, the numbers say it."
