Kylian Mbappe will join Real Madrid in the upcoming season, as the French superstar who was linked with the club for so many months has finally signed the contract after he agreed personal terms with the club back in February. In the 2022/23 season, he backed out from signing from the defending UEFA Champions League winners as he decided to stay with Paris Saint-Germain for one more year on the final day of the transfer market.

In the 2023/24 season, he already announced his departure from the club before he played his last game for the reigning Ligue 1 champions. The decision comes after his side was knocked out of the UCL semi-final losing to Borussia Dortmund 2-0. The 25-year-old forward is currently a free agent and there will not be any transfer fee included in his signing for the Spanish Giants.

Mbappe has been one of the finest footballers of this generation as he has spent six seasons with the French champions after joining from AS Monaco and is the club's all-time leading scorer, with 255 goals in 305 games. He won twelve major trophies with PSG, including six Ligue 1 crowns, three French Cups, three French Super Cups, and two French League Cups. The one trophy which went missing was UCL which he failed to earn with the Paris club.

Mbappe eyes for the UEFA trophy

Recently the footballer won the Globe Soccer's Best European Footballer of the Year 2023/24 for his sensational display in the season. In the season he scored 44 goals in 48 games across all competitions for PSG and assisted 10 times. He will be eyeing the most prestigious club trophy UCL while playing at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Madrid will be making the official announcement in the upcoming weeks. He is on an international break and preparing for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany which is scheduled to start on the 15th of June. He will look to add one more accolade beside his name by winning the European Championship.
