WATCH: Cristiano Ronaldo pushes away fan during UEFA Euro 2024 encounter against Turkey

Portugal after beating Turkey 3-0 in the UEFA Euro 2024, secured their place in the RO16. The Os Navegadores have now won back-to-back games in the major tournament group stage and are sitting at the top of the table. Cristiano Ronaldo's side played a brilliant brand of football in the game and outclassed Vincenzo Montella's side in every aspect. They were 2-0 up within the first 30 minutes of the game.

Despite performing poorly in the first game of the tournament, the favourites came back strongly in the second. They took the lead in the 21st minute with Bernardo Silva breaking the deadlock for the side. They went 2-0 up after a miscommunication between defender Samet Akaydin and goalkeeper Altay Bayındır as the ball went inside the net. The first half of the game ended with no more goals in the game. 

During the game, some fans evaded the pitch to click a photograph with the 39-year-old footballer. While the game was 0-0 he pushed away a fan during a corner kick of the match. There was another disruption as made after four fans ran onto the field in a bid to get selfies with Ronaldo in chaotic scenes at the stadium.

Ronaldo is an example for fans

Only one amongst those four was successful in taking a photo with the former Real Madrid superstar. A young boy dodged the stewards to get on the field in the 69th minute at Westfalenstadion before whipping out his cell phone. The 39-year-old was happy giving out the selfie to the little fan and he was being stopped and escorted away by the security personnel. He has a huge fan following across the world and has been often interrupted for asking for a selfie. 

Previously before the tournament in a practice session in the German city of Gutersloh that allowed the public, there were also over-enthusiastic fans who ran onto the pitch to meet the star footballer. He dodged past two oncoming security guards and hugged Ronaldo, before being quickly taken into custody.
