WATCH: Cristiano Ronaldo makes little fan happy with selfie during UEFA Euro 2024 encounter against Turkey

Portugal won 3-0 against Turkey in the UEFA Euro 2024. The Os Navegadores have now won back-to-back games in the major tournament group stage and are sitting at the top of the table. Roberto Martinez's side brilliantly started the game by taking the lead in the 21st minute with Bernardo Silva breaking the deadlock for the side. They went 2-0 up within the first half an hour of the game.

They went into the break with the same lead and in the second half, they kept the momentum in their way. Bruno Fernandes added the third and final goal of the game after Cristiano Ronaldo unselfishly passed the ball to his former Manchester United teammate who was in a better position to score the goal. The former did not make a mistake in pouncing on the pass of the Portuguese captain. 

During the game, an interruption was made after four fans ran on the field in a bid to get selfies with Ronaldo in chaotic scenes at the stadium. Only one amongst those four was successful in taking a photo with the former Real Madrid superstar. A young boy dodged the stewards to get on the field in the 69th minute at Westfalenstadion before whipping out his cell phone.

Cristiano Ronaldo has a huge fan base

The 39-year-old was happy giving out the selfie to the little fan and he was being stopped and escorted away by the security personnel. This is not the first time that any fan has evaded the pitch, previously in the open training session in the German city of Gutersloh that allowed the public there were also over-enthusiastic fans who ran onto the pitch to meet the star footballer.  

The pitch invader ran onto the field after jumping over the fences. He slipped past two oncoming security guards and hugged Ronaldo, before being quickly taken into custody. After letting the fan snap a selfie with him, Ronaldo held up his arms to ask the audience to be calm. In the game, after assisting Bruno he became the all-time leading assister in the tournament with 8 assists to his name.
