Despite the interruption, Ronaldo handled the situation calmly, allowing the fan to take the photo before the game continued shortly afterwards.

While such behaviour should arguably not be encouraged, it had little impact on the night as Portugal secured their third win in this year's competition with a 3-1 victory in Poland. Roberto Martinez's team could clinch a spot in the Nations League quarter-finals by defeating Scotland this upcoming week.

Ronaldo has been approached by numerous fans while on the pitch asking for selfies this year while playing for Portugal. During Euro 2024, there was one instance where he appeared to enjoy the attention, but as it continued to happen, the former Manchester United star became visibly annoyed.

Ronaldo scored his 906th career goal and his third of this season's Nations League during the Poland win. It's likely that he will feature for Portugal when they face bottom-of-the-group Scotland on Tuesday night.

Ronaldo shines in Portugal's victory

Portugal's football star Cristiano Ronaldo played a crucial role in the team's 3-1 win over Poland in the UEFA Nations League. The team maintained their perfect record in the tournament with their third win. Bernardo Silva opened the scoring for Portugal with a goal in the 28th minute, followed by Ronaldo doubling the lead to 2-0 with a goal nine minutes later.

Poland's Piotr Zielinski attempted to initiate a comeback with a goal in the 78th minute. However, Jan Bednarek's own goal in the 88th minute secured a 3-1 victory for Portugal. Ronaldo's goal marked his third consecutive goal in the Nations League fixture, and at 39 years old, he increased his international goal tally to 133.
