Micah Richards has received a Brest lover shirt as a gift, but a recent discussion filled with innuendos about the Champions League on CBS prompted Thierry Henry to step away from the conversation.
Richards, a former Manchester City and England player, along with Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher, has been having a great time covering the European performances of the French team Brest during the 2024-25 season. The CBS Sports studio often turns lively and entertaining, thanks to the numerous witty comments related to Brest that have sparked banter among the hosts.
Ligue One side gives pundits hilarious present
The Ligue 1 club is thrilled to bring joy to fans in the United States by sending a special gift to Richards, along with a hilarious thank-you message.
“Dear friends of CBS. Many thanks for your close attention to Brest’s performances since the start of the Champions League. We all enjoy watching your many laughs in the studio. So we’ve made a special ‘Brest lover’ shirt for Micah. We couldn’t resist giving a Stade Brestois shirt to our own legend Thierry Henry, to whom we send our warmest greetings.” read Brest's letter.
World Cup-winning Frenchman and Arsenal legend Thierry Henry appeared pleased with his No. 14 jersey, while Richards eagerly wore his Brest supporter jersey. Meanwhile, Carragher chimed in, expressing his unwavering loyalty as a Brest fan.
“We’ve always been big fans of yours and we always will be,” said Carragher.

Richards couldn't help but throw in another playful tease, inquiring what occurs when they (Brest) decide to play nice. At that moment, Henry had seen enough and, smiling, rose from his seat on the punditry panel chaired by Kate Scott to take a place for himself in a different part of the studio.
Brest is on track to secure a spot in the UEFA Champions League last 16. With a remarkable 13-point haul from seven continental matches, they currently sit 13th in the table, sufficient to guarantee advancement to the knockout phase play-offs.
