After Marcus Rashford uses excellent footwork to create an open ball inside the Barnsley area, Alejandro Garnacho is the first to react and pokes the ball home. While going into the celebrations, Casemiro tried to stop Garnacho from doing the famous sitting celebration inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo. In the end, Garnacho ended up celebrating as he scored yet another goal for the club.

Tonight at Old Trafford, the Carabao Cup was the main event as Manchester United prepared to face third-tier opponents in order to guarantee their spot in the fourth round. After losing to Brighton and Liverpool back-to-back, Erik ten Hag, who is under continual criticism, defeated newly promoted Southampton 3-0 on Saturday in the English Premier League in an attempt to allay some of the most recent rumours about his future.

Five-star performance from Manchester United against Barnsley

Marcus Rashford scored the first goal with a wonderfully executed finish. Alejandro Garnacho's long pass was expertly gathered by him, and he skilfully dribbled around Mark Roberts to guide the ball through the net.

Following some excellent work on the right side by Antony and Diogo Dalot, Alejandro Garnacho sent a shot directly at the defender. After getting a challenge on Barnsley goalkeeper Gaga Slonina, Antony was awarded a penalty by Marcus Rashford, who had previously delivered a ball through for him.

While running up, Antony stumbles, but he still manages to put his penalty beyond the goalie and into the side netting. By the corner flag, the Brazilian scored his very first goal of this campaign alongside Diogo Dalot

Alejandro Garnacho scored his second goal of the game after Christian Eriksen put him through with style. The Barnsley defence gave Garnacho the freedom, and he finished flawlessly. Alejandro Garnacho sets up Marcus Rashford for a precise finish that doubles his goal total for the game. While Antony was yelling for a free kick, Barnsley passed the ball directly to Garncho, who then fed Rashford, his teammate.
