Ashley Young vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

The game between Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Premier League had an amazing start as the hosts took the lead through a stunning free-kick goal in the opening 15 minutes of the encounter.

After Dominic Calvert-Lewin was fouled, the ball returned to Doucere, who hit it wildly over, and Doucere won the header deep inside the Wolves half. Although he was offside, the referee awarded a free kick for the striker's first foul just beyond the box. Ashley Young defeats Jose Sa by hitting it low while standing resolutely over it. The ball finds its way to the far post after squeezing past the wall. The Toffees took a 1-0 lead thanks to a beautiful goal.

On the run, Dawson knocked over Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and the Blues received another freekick nearer the touchline. With three defenders surrounding him, James Tarkowski had only applied his head to a whipped inswinger from Dwight McNeil and past Jose Sa and make it 2-0.

Mangala was offside, thus the goal had to be reviewed, but it was unclear if he actually interfered with play. Lemina did appear to have been boxed out by him. The score was still 1-0 in favor of the Blues until referee Michael Salisbury went over to the monitor and disallowed the goal.

Should Sean Dyche have not started Ashley Young against Wolverhampton Wanderers?

After Ashley Young's performance against Manchester United, Everton supporters asked manager Sean Dyche to bench him for Wednesday's match against Wolves. The veteran was among the worst players as the Toffees were easily thrashed 4-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday. The match at Goodison Park on December 4 is crucial for Sean Dyche since a defeat to Wolves may put the Blues in the relegation zone.

The 39-year-old got some good news on Monday: when the Blues play Peterborough during the FA Cup third round, he will face his son. Even though he has begun 11 of the Toffees' 13 league games thus far, his on-field performances have been inconsistent.
