Renan Lodi goal Neymar

Renan Lodi got himself on the scoresheet during Al Hilal’s game against Al Ain in the AFC Champions League Elite Championship. He received a pass on the left side and took an effort from the edge of the penalty area towards the bottom right-hand corner. The full-back then went on to celebrate the goal with his Brazilian teammate, Neymar, who was on the bench.

Since joining the team during the winter transfer window, Lodi has been a mainstay for Al-Hilal; nevertheless, the Saudi Pro League team is considering the Brazilian's spot in the squad in light of the acquisition of left-back Miteb Al Harbi and Joao Cancelo from Manchester City.

Al-Hilal has reportedly been searching for buyers for the former Atletico Madrid full-back for the past week, but it is unlikely that they will find one anytime soon because the January transfer market is still a long way off.

After missing a significant amount of time due to injury, Al Hilal's star, Brazilian sensation Neymar da Silva, is on the substitution bench for today's match versus Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. Today, Monday, Al Hilal is getting ready to play its rival, Al Ain, in the third round of the league stage of the AFC Champions League Elite Championship.

Based on the Portuguese coach's plan, Neymar, who is on the substitution list for Al Hilal during the Al Ain game, might play in the second half. Since rupturing his knee's cruciate ligament during the World Cup qualifying match between Brazil and Uruguay in October 2023, Neymar has not been able to play.

“But I don't return halfway” : Neymar Jr.

As he gets ready to make his much anticipated comeback to action with Al-Hilal of the Saudi Pro League, the 32-year-old midfielder has been thinking back on his most recent stint on the sidelines.

The former Paris Saint-Germain winger said recently, “I felt a huge pain. In that moment I already knew it was serious. What I want most in life is to play football. I have suffered every day I've been away from the pitch. This is what hurts me the most. I am focused on the most important people in my life, my family and friends, and football. I have risen every time I have been injured. But I don't return halfway.”
