Viktor Gyokeres nets hat-trick to defeat City; AC Milan breeze past Real Madrid

Football: Viktor Gyokeres scored his hat-trick and lead his team in wining position as Sporting Lisbon crushed Manchester City by 4-1. While AC Milan shocked defending champions Real Madrid.

In one of the most intriguing Matchday 4 matches of the 2024–2025 UEFA Champions League, Sporting CP hosted Manchester City. On Matchday 4, Manchester City takes on a strong Sporting CP team in an intriguing Champions League matchup. While star striker Erling Haaland missed penalty as Sporting Lisbon defeated Manchester City 4-1.

In the Champions League league stage, Real Madrid is on the verge of suffering their second loss of the year. With just a short time remaining against AC Milan, Carlo Ancelotti's team is presently behind 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu after losing to Lille on MD2. Real Madrid has lost two of their last four Champions League games this season, unless they pull off a huge comeback. After the crushing defeat in El Clasico ten days earlier, it would also be back-to-back defeats.

Liverpool defeated Bayer Leverkusen

Six-time champions Liverpool and German champions Bayer Leverkusen faced off at Liverpool's famous Anfield Stadium on November 5 in Matchweek 4 of the UEFA Champions League 2024. It is anticipated that Xabi Alonso would return to his old team as a visiting manager.
