Galatasaray, the Turkish Club giants, are said to be in discussions with Victor Osimhen after Chelsea's unsuccessful attempt to sign the Napoli striker before the closure of the English transfer window. The Blues were very keen on acquiring the Nigerian forward for Stamford Bridge but were unable to come to terms on a contract.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Galatasaray is in talks with Napoli to secure Osimhen. They are aiming to reach a loan agreement for the 25-year-old, who has been left out of Antonio Conte's squad for the season.

The Turkish transfer window remains open until September 13, allowing Cimbom ample time to finalize a deal. Manager Okan Buruk is in urgent need to find a replacement for Mauro Icardi, who has sustained an injury and the former Inter Milan striker is on their radar.

Galatasaray is Osimhen's Last Hope

Victor Osimhen had attracted interest from Chelsea during the summer, but his high wage demands subdued their efforts to sign him. Reportedly, he turned down a weekly offer of €155,000 from the Blues as they aimed to align with their wage structure.

The Nigeria international, capped 35 times, expressed a strong desire to join the Premier League giants, although he was also sought after by Saudi Pro League team Al-Ahli. The Saudi club presented him with an enticing contract proposal worth €25-30 million per season.

Victor Osimhen's delay in deciding on a club led Al-Ahil to sign Ivan Tony, and Chelsea simply couldn't succeed in his Expected wages.

Victor Osimhen was also not registered in Conte's Napoli Squad of 2024 -25. Conte spoke about the situation and said he was sorry for the club not managing to sell and the striker for not getting his desired exit.
