UEFA Euro 2024: Skipper Mbappe misses France training, unlikely to be available for opener against Austria

The highly-anticipated UEFA Euro 2024 is set to kick off on Friday night with the tournament opener between Germany and Scotland. Meanwhile, France have encountered a concern as the skipper Kylian Mbappe missed the training session due to illness. The news came from the center just a day before the inaugural match of the tournament.

Notably, the Les Blues will start their run in the tournament with their campaign opener against Austria on Monday, June 17. Amidst all this, the French camp is also concerned if the star centre-forward will be available for the first match against Austria.

Meanwhile, in a relieving piece of news, Mbappe was seen at the training pitch where he met the fans.

France will be eyeing a winning start to their Euro 2024 campaign with a win in the campaign opener against Austria, with clouds of uncertainty on the availability of their marquee star player and skipper.
