UEFA Euro 2024: Power Ranking Teams ahead of RO16 games

UEFA Euro 2024 has so far been amazing from 24 teams only 16 remain for the tournament. The tournament has seen some of the big teams failing, stunning strikes, closely fought games, and a shock or two being thrown in for good measure. The favourites also have struggled to perform as per the expectation so far in the tournament. There have been own goals and it is the outright top goal scorer at Euro 2024 with seven.  

The RO16 will be starting on Saturday as Italy will be taking on Switzerland in the first game of the knockouts and later in the day the host Germany will be facing Denmark. Some surprising teams have also made it to the round of 16, and they will be determined to continue their trip for a little longer. The underdogs will be hoping to provide some more upsets in the game. 

The likes of England, and France, have not performed as per the expectations, though the Three Lions have qualified as the group toppers in a relatively easier team. But speaking about Les Blue they have not performed as they needed to be with their star player Kylian Mbappe not firing in the games he featured, and Austria topped from a group of them and with Netherlands having in it. 

Georgia has been one of the most impressive sides coming to the tournament. They shocked everyone by qualifying for the second round after they defeated Portugal in their final game to qualify for the knockouts. They are the lowest-ranked team in the tournament to qualify for the RO16 for the first team. They will be facing Spain who have been amazing through the group stages winning all their games. 

With only one team having a perfect record after pool play, the bracket appears to be quite wide, suggesting that surprises may still be in store. Let’s take a look in the power rankings before the RO16.
