The UEFA Champions League quarter-final 1st leg has been over. With all the remaining 8 teams have tried out their best to win the games. Arsenal and Bayern Munich were held out to a 2-2 draw and at the other part of the Europe Real Madrid faced off against defending champions Manchester City, the breathtaking game ended in a 3-3 draw. On Wednesday Paris Saint-Germain hosted FC Barcelona who edged out the French champions with the score of 3-2. Atletico Madrid's solid performance against Borussia Dortmund showed them off with the score of 2-1.
However in the 1st leg a total off 18 goals have been scored. There was some outrageous goals scored from some of the teams. With still a 2nd leg to be played in the upcoming week. On Tuesday Phil Foden and Joško Gvardiol arguably scoring the goal of the UCL season. Ousmane Dembélé came back and haunted his former side by scoring a goal and did not backfooted celebrate after scoring.
Big names not showing up for clubs
Raphinha showing his class infront of his idol Ronaldinho who was present at the Parc des Princes. Erling Haaland's dismal performance was eyecatching as he failed to score against Madrid and was well marked by Antonio Rudiger. Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham were not upto the mark and could not control the game, though the former assisted one ball to Rodrygo made it 2-1 in the first half.
The fans, ex-footballers and football pundits all have enjoyed the 1st leg of the final 8. There were some remarkable performances with some of the players in the 1st leg.
