FC Barcelona played out Paris Saint-Germain in the 1st leg quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League. The Blaugranes started exactly the way their head coach Xavi would have wanted, they dominated the majority of the game and were clean with their passing and goal-scoring as well. The Spanish Giants won the game 3-2 with Raphinha scoring a brace and Andreas Christensen scoring the winner in the 77th minute of the game. Ousmane Dembélé came back to haunt his former club as he scored a goal against them.

The French forward was not at his best on Wednesday night despite scoring. After scoring he did not regret it and celebrated against his old club, not many Barca fans liked the celebration and some of the fan pages has posted an old comment about the winger. Hristo Stoichkov was a legend for the club and Bulgaria national team, the striker won the Ballon d'Or in 1994. Stoichov commented about Dembélé back in 2022 when he was at Camp Nou

The former Barca forward was not pleased with the 26-year-old winger during his stint at Barcelona. He was injured the majority of the time and the team has always suffered for his mistakes. The 58-year-old believed that he never respected the club and did not understand what the name or the badge represents in world football.

Stoichkov slams Dembélé

As per Barca Universal, Stoichkov said, "In my era, you would have been the one to clean my boots. 108 games injured. €140m+ for you. Many foreigners who have been at the club understood what Barça means." The posts and comments about the player come right after his celebration after making the score 1-1 and he was also pumped up after Vitinha made 2-1 until Raphinha found the equaliser.

Barcelona are currently 2nd in the La Liga table eight points behind Real Madrid. They have a season with lots of ups and down but they will like to UEFA Champions League after 2014/15 and give Xavi a fairytale farewell for their head coach who is set to leave the club after the end of the season.
