Football has been a game of strikers and defenders. But the most important players or who might be called the silent snipers for the teams and clubs are the midfielders. For a team to build the game the midfield has to be strong to take control of the game. They dictate the tempo of the game and are important in the transition game from defence to attack. 

Most of the time, the midfielders in the world can construct and destroy the play, maintain control of the ball, and burst through defensive lines effectively. Forwards and wingers get the credit for their ability to score and pass the ball into the box for the players to score, central midfielders are the ones who help while passing those balls.
