Against Tottenham on Sunday, Chelsea's star Cole Palmer scored two more goals last night, creating Premier League history. Since joining Chelsea from Manchester City, Palmer's performance simply increased from excellent to extraordinary. He carried Chelsea the previous season, but this one he has a little more support from his teammates, who have contributed in the goals and assists. Nevertheless, his impact on this side is beyond ridiculous.

At London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea rallied from a two-goal deficit to win 4-3 and cut the lead over Premier League leaders Liverpool to four points. Palmer made it to the Premier League history by becoming the first player to score 12 straight penalty kicks, including two of them. No player in the Premier League has contributed more goals since the beginning of the previous season than Palmer, who also assisted Enzo Fernandez.

After the game, football pandit Paul Merson and Jamie Carragher were praising Chelsea for making come back and winning the match. Jamie Carragher said, "This Chelsea team is no underdog story. This is a team that has spent £1.2bn but what they’re doing this season is something totally unexpected. This club are right in the mix for a title challenge."

Cole Palmer has made an impact on Chelsea

Carragher notes that Palmer had a significant impact on Chelsea's ascent to the top. Cole Palmer's skill with the penalty kick allowed him to set the Premier League record for the most penalties scored (12 out of 12) without a miss. Furthermore, with 39 Premier League goals in a calendar year, he broke Chelsea great Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's club record.

With 20 points, Tottenham is now in 11th place after suffering their second loss of the week. With the win, Chelsea reduced the deficit to four points behind leaders Liverpool and moved up to second place in the Premier League standings with 31 points. A significant milestone in their title aspirations was reached as Enzo Maresca's team demonstrated skill and tenacity.
