On Friday, November 15, he delivered a powerful statement by scoring two goals in the second half, leading his nation to a commanding 5-1 victory over Poland in the UEFA Nations League. With this win, Portugal solidified its position at the top of League A Group 1 after five matches, boasting an impressive record of four victories and one draw.

Following his recent victory, the 39-year-old emphasized that he plans to retire when his passion for football wanes. He expressed that retirement could be on the horizon, perhaps in a year or two, but he is uncertain about the exact timing. His focus remains on enjoying the game, and he is committed to making a thoughtful decision when he no longer finds joy in playing.

"That will happen. In a year, two years, I don't know. I'm about enjoying football, and when I don't feel like it, I'll take a step forward and say that it's not for me anymore," said Ronaldo

Ronaldo's take on completing 1000 goals

Cristiano Ronaldo is showcasing exceptional form with Al Nassr this season, having scored 10 goals and provided three assists in just 15 games. Since his transfer, Ronaldo has opened the floodgates for numerous modern football superstars to join him in the Middle East.

The 38-year-old forward delivered a stunning performance at the Estádio do Dragão, leading Portugal to a dominating 5-1 victory. He set the tone by converting a penalty with the finesse of a Panenka and capped off the match with an incredible bicycle kick in the final moments, leaving fans in awe.

Ronaldo reflected on his incredible goal tally, which now stands at an impressive 910 throughout his career. Despite the attention on reaching the 1,000-goal milestone, he chose to downplay the discussions surrounding it.

"To be fair, I don’t even think about this 1,000 career goals record. Of course, you always want to make history, but that is not my focus right now." Ronaldo said.

The victory against Poland also marked a significant achievement for Ronaldo, as he etched his name in history by becoming the player with the most international wins in football, amassing 132 wins and leaving behind Spain's Sergio Ramos in the process.
