Cristiano Ronaldo receives Platinum Quinas trophy

At the Portuguese Football Federation's Quinas De Ouro event, Cristiano Ronaldo received the Platinum Quinas. With 133 goals in 213 games, Ronaldo is the all-time leading scorer throughout international football history. He also guided the Portuguese squad to the 2016 Euro Cup and the 2019 UEFA Nations League championship.

The 39-year-old's achievements with the national squad over the years earned him the coveted prize. Fernando Gomes, the president of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), was present, as was Prime Minister Luís Montenegro.

Ronaldo took a trip down memory lane and discussed his experience with the Portugal team, from his 18th-year-old debut to his more than 200 games played and ongoing success. As of right now, Ronaldo has 216 caps as well as 133 goals for his country.

The former Real Madrid striker said, "It is an honor to receive this trophy. I see it as a beginning. Thank you to the FPF for this award, marking a long journey filled with hard work. At 18, my dream was to earn my first cap. Then I went to 25, 50, and why not 100? A round number, three digits, and then I started thinking about 150, 200, and it’s a tremendous feeling."

“Fernando Gomes is the best president” : Cristiano Ronaldo

The renowned football player went on to discuss Portugal's football and referred to the present FPF president as their finest player. The former Manchester United attacker said, "We have everything: stadiums, magnificent coaches, potential in these players, and the stars that we have. Not just in football, but in other sports. Fernando Gomes is the best president we have ever had."

In the meantime, Ronaldo recently put Saudi Arabian clubs in the top three of the 12-team rankings with a goal in Al-Nassr's 5-1 victory over the United Arab Emirates' reigning champion Al-Ain during the AFC Champions League Elite.

Al-Nassr is two points behind regional rivals Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli, who both have four wins and a perfect record, with 10 points from four games. Nevertheless, they are ranked third in the Saudi Pro League standings, behind Al Hilal as well as Al Ittihad. Having scored six goals this season, Ronaldo was the league's top scorer the previous season.
