Several of Antonio Conte's Napoli players are subject to an "absolute veto," the coach has disclosed. The Italian manager runs the risk of having other European competitors challenge his willpower to face some of the biggest names in the Partenopei. While skipper Giovanni Di Lorenzo may join Juventus, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is strongly linked to a switch to Paris Saint-Germain. However, during his initial press conference on Wednesday, Conte refuted rumors that the powerful duo and others would be leaving.

The former Tottenham Hotspur manager said, “Kvaratskhelia and Di Lorenzo are key players for me. I’ve been clear on this. I have placed a total veto for Di Lorenzo, [Stanislav] Lobotka, [André-Frank] Zambo Anguissa and Kvaratskhelia.”

Why did Antonio Conte choose Napoli over other clubs?

Antonio Conte was presented as the new head coach of Napoli and he has a serious task on his hands after one of the worst finishes for the club in Serie A history. The Italian is known to be a tactical manager and can be the right person to lead the club forward and bring back the glory days.

He said, "I chose Napoli for the project, this must be clear. I signed a 3-year contract, the president was very clear about what we can do. Because it will be retraced based on situations that are compatible with the club. The project we spoke about with the president is to find Napoli an alternative to the usual suspects in the shortest possible time.

The former Chelsea manager added, "14 years that Napoli managed to return to Europe, there was good management, we won the championship. Last year was not a good year. It will take a bit of time and patience, I am of the 'those who have time don't wait for time' type. We will try in every way to take on this responsibility. This is the project. It gave me great enthusiasm, I felt something in my gut. I can't wait to start."
