Khvicha Kvaratskhelia set to leave Napoli after agent and father confirm winger being unhappy

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the agent of Napoli's star player, has claimed that the player wishes to leave the Serie A club and compete in the UEFA Champions League.

Kvaratkshelia was an essential member of the Napoli squad in the 2023/24 season, and while he didn't quite reach the peak of the Scudetto-winning campaign, he remained an essential component for the Partenopei. However, his predicament is now more interesting because Conte wants him to continue and already struggles with Giovanni di Lorenzo's difficult problem, as he, too, wishes to leave.

Napoli sensation Khvicha Kvaratskhelia wishes to leave the club as stated by his agent earlier today. While talking to Sport Imedi, he said, “We want to leave Napoli, but now we're all waiting for the Euro 2024. With Conte, Napoli have big plans. I'm sure they will qualify to the Champions League again next season and fight for the Scudetto. But that doesn't mean that Kvaratskhelia wants to stay there, I don't mean it”.

He added, “I didn't talk with Khvicha about this issue, the most important thing for him is National team.Our goal is the team that plays in the Champions League. The worst thing is that if he stays here, Khvicha will lose 1 year because of that… we are worried”

What did the player’s father say about Napoli exit?

The player’s father also spoke to Sport Imedi as he said, “I don't want Khvicha to stay in Napoli. He worked with 4 different coaches in 1 year, this worries me a lot — he will decide for himself, although it's uncomfortable for me. I haven't talked to Khvicha about this topic, I'm not going to until the end of the Euro 2024”.

The Georgian has been associated with a switch to Paris Saint-Germain, and although Antonio Conte wishes to retain the winger since he is an important part of the strategy, it appears that the player has other intentions. There is additionally discussion of a deal renewal, but it has yet to be formalised.
