Young Lamine Yamal has been gaining the spotlight for Spain with his performances in the UEFA EURO 2024 tournament. The youngster has been in outstanding form and has played a key role in all of Spain’s wins to see them top their group. 

The former European champions will next face Georgia in their round of 16 clash on Sunday. The winner of that game will play hosts Germany in Stuttgart on the 5th of July in what could be a fascinating clash. 

Spanish Coach Luis De La Feunte has meanwhile come out and supported the youngster over the Labor Laws rules in Germany, as per the rules that a person who is under the age of 18 cannot work after 8 PM. The rules though are lenient towards sportspersons as it is stretched to 11 PM.

The Spanish coach was asked if Lamine Yamal would be pulled off during the game to comply with the rules. Luis De La Fuente said “I don’t know the German legislation on whether Lamine has to be removed at 11 PM. We don’t think so”

Spanish coach praises young sensation Lamine Yamal 

During the course of his press conference, the Spanish coach said “We talk to him daily. He shows great maturity inappropriate for his age. He is developing both as a footballer and as a person. We are all responsible in the process and we are going to do our job and let him play, nothing more”

Spain began their tournament with a 3-0 win over Croatia and followed it up with 1-0 wins over Italy and Albania. This provided Spain the chance to top their Group and head into the Round of 16 with ease. 

Paris Saint Germain meanwhile, kept their eyes on the Spanish prodigy. It is reported that the French side is set to off a massive 250 million Euros to Barcelona to prize the youngster away. 

Mundo Deportivo reported the news where it is also learned that FC Barcelona will not sell their asset at any cost. PSG are looking for a marquee name after Kylian Mbappe moved to Spain to join Real Madrid for the coming season.
